Skylum is a global software company focused on AI-driven photo editing software for content creators of all skill levels.
I stepped into the role of Head of Design at Skylum in late 2023. My primary focus was to establish a robust design culture, refine the product's UI/UX, and ensure its scalability for future growth.
I hit a bunch of milestones, starting from scratch. I set up a design team and brought in 6 awesome designers. I created fresh design processes and came up with a vision for our new brand identity for flagman product and the whole company. Plus, I launched 3 new apps, even with a few bumps along the way. Our new design strategy brought about a lot of changes for the company and ultimately boosted our profits.
Business impact:
- 20% YoY Company revenue growth
- 3 new products
- 2x mobile app growth
- Google partnership

Initial ask from management was to build design process for the whole company, improve UI & UX of the product itself to make it scalable for the further development.

During my time there, we doubled the user base, launched the Android version with a small but passionate team, and earned a 4.7★ rating on the Play Market. Seeing Spark grow into one of the most popular email clients across all platforms was a highlight of my work. Beyond Spark, I also contributed to other well-known Readdle products like Documents, PDF Expert, and Scanner Pro, supporting teams and helping shape experiences used by millions worldwide.
